Your email address (for sign-in links), and the flight data you upload: 720p proxy videos, thumbnails, and flight telemetry (GPS track, altitude, speed, camera settings). Your full-resolution originals are never uploaded — they stay on your own drive.
You. Every flight, clip, story, and video is private to your account, and every request — including each video file — is checked against your session before a byte is served. Sharing is opt-in per story: a share link you create plays that one story for anyone who has the link, and revoking it turns the link off.
On servers we operate (currently DigitalOcean, US). Backups are periodic snapshots of the storage volume. Sign-in is by emailed magic link — we never store a password.
No ads, no third-party analytics or trackers, no selling or sharing data with third parties, no training AI models on your footage. To learn which features are useful, we keep anonymous daily totals — for example, how many stories were created across all of AirStory that day. When you arrive from a link we placed somewhere, we remember only that channel's name for a week, so we can count which ones bring pilots in. Counts only, never tied to you or your account.
Ask and your account and all flight data are deleted from the server for good (your local library is yours and unaffected). Just email support@airstory.io.
